Interesting time

So, my friend wrote an awsome bit of writing about why copying is not ok in the current 'making' market place, and posted it to the Etsy forum...on my recomendation. Little did I know she would be bullied right off the page! If only my post got published at the end...The thread was closed. Basically it was a bun fight right there on screen!
So many people not getting the point...so threatened and hostile . I think what was written as comment by and large was so disgraceful, and as 'making' people we should be concerned with the greater and greater amount of samey-ness that is out there. Even if our product is as unique as we can make it. Shoddy and repetitive items do bring us all down...especially if they are less and less expensive.
One person wrote that they are finding it difficult to tell the difference between handmade and manufacted items...I do too. I get an icky feeling in a couple of shops where there is so much product, all the same and all hande made...apparently....but what about all that laser cut stuff...what's with that? Is that handmade?.....mmmmm ponderings will continue...by the way, I couldn't help myself. LOOK HERE
What was started in the same vain, has attacted so many copiers!!! It's hilarious. To my dear friend...They are all hopeless cases.

Digging a hole.....

I've been digging a lovely big hole for myself this morning.....
What started out as a slightly stressful situation, with a touch of paranoia yesterday at a really nice market,
has manifested itself into a confession,
and now instead of fixing
and feeling better,
I've spread the ick feeling around and now made it worse.
Well done me!

Make monkeys of these monkeys

So, my  hus. went to get a new phone yesterday from Telstra...I, for some reason have to give authorisation for him to do anything to our account..whatever.  So, he gets the phone. Later I try to text him and my phone isn't working.    

The 'person' at the phone shop has magically switched brains with our phones! How she do that? P had said how the lady pressed some button on her computer and turned everything into Dutch by accident..I said maybe she was a monkey in a person suit. Then he said how'd they make a profit last year making such dumb mistakes...Well they employ 1000's of monkeys, and eventually they get the job done.

The week ends...I wonder whether being in a semi isolated situation like I'm in, can make you more opinionated and beligerant? I've been trying to be all nice and civilised up until a few posts ago. I think I'm just a bit fed up with having to deal with folk who are not my folk...just because you have kids, doesn't automatically make you compatible. I did seem to make friends a bit with a girl from the market, and you wouldn't believe, she basically told me what she was doing now with her 'making' was pretty much my idea that I went to the market with...painted crockery...so, um, I'm not the person she should be telling, because now I think she's pretty thick. First for telling me, and second for not thinking up her own thing....gawd
