New...antique fabric
Last week I was very excited to get dropped on my doorstep a bounty-ful post pack of tiny ancient patchwork squares. Unable to stop myself from sorting them into pretty colour combinations, I came up with these straight away.
There are many, many more to come.

Moriac Growers and Makers Market
Well, today I had a wee look at the bits and pieces I have to take to market...Here's a sneek peek.
The choker is made from gorgeous French flower braid, that was bought in Paris recently, hand sewn onto a fine silk ruffle, wear it like a scarf / collar.
Next is a 'patchwork' of antique French fabrics made into another 'scarf-like' tie up necklace.
Then a smokey quartz, hand knotted necklace.
Here are some new necklaces featuring beautifully smooth white wood beads, discs and flattened squares. In between are lovely semi precious stones, red garnets,,,and green garnets.
These are pretty, and easy to wear with anything...They also are little collages of fabrics and beads.
In this picture you can see a very sparkley range of hand beaded bracelets, ear rings, crocheted bun nets...and my new origami fabric boxes.
Quamby in the origami boxes.
..............Come to the Market and see this stuff, and more!
Loving listening to Midlake, The Trails of Occupanther.

Alexander Henry fabrics....glad to know them!
I just found out a very dear customer of mine, is part of a very delightful fabric design team, look here at true up's blog for a beautifully photographed spread of fabrics taken to a quilt fair last year. I think it was at this fair that Nicole wore a necklace I made for her, I'm so chuffed!
This is just a small selection of the fabric you can see, and buy from their web site.

On the telly!
I was very excited to see my friend Amy on the TV on Sunday night. You can see it here. She was talking about the Australian Tapestry Workshop...while wearing a necklace I made. An excellent way to end a pretty fantastic night.

At the Geelong Gallery
This is a new range I'm working on, all the materials in this piece are from a reclaimed American quilt, probably from Depression times. I'm really into this at the moment. All faded and used and gorgeous.
