Hello!

It's been such a long time since I've said hello here!
Lots of things have been happening. The biggest joy has been moving into my own studio, a childhood dream. It is the best.

It's great being able to get the wool out...and somewhere to put the GoT guys.

I've started some big work, which has also been great. I haven't done anything big since I worked at the Australian Tapestry workshop, and that was someone elses work.
So really, it's been years and years.

Also, I've been exhibiting for Craft Cubed at Boom Gallery this month, it finishes up at the end of this week.
You can view the show here, at my website , look in the "work" tab.

I think I was put off blogging for a while because of the TROLL who went kind of passive aggresive berserk at me. I know who it is, and really, the young lady should have known better...perhaps had a little look at the blog before telling me I can't express what I think.
Oh, and if you can't beat 'em.

also, stay tuned for this lovely......

Frog lovin'

Painting...I found some old inks I $aved up for in about 1989, they're still good....I was doing Tafe at the Gordon...and about 17 years old. Oh, this is a picture of some common frogs, in a very uncommon setting.
Painted by me today.

New year, new work.

Wildgirl, 7x10 cms. hemp, cotton, linen 2013
Inspired by a photo I saw on my FB feed, from CR magazine, Gareth Pugh, I wove this. The 'wild' and hairy nature of the original photo, and the rya knotting in this piece go together, I think. This piece is really little 7 x 10 cms. I wove it using the "stick" method, that I did the tutorial about...I'll probably show it using the tiny frame I wove it on.
Octopus girl, Inkjet print, watercolour, ink. 16 x15.5 cm 2014
This is a new idea I'm working on, and this is the first. Limited editions of my drawings, painted...in effect, little, original paintings, but in series, if that makes sense. This is number 1 of probably 5 or 6. More pieces will be added as I get to them. So much fun to do. I will make a bit of a big thing about it, when my Bigcartel shop is ready.
Looking forward to 2014...!

Some little cards I made

These are some little water colours I've made for a ATC swap...we'll see what I get back in return. The theme is Halloween.
