So, here's a wee taste of what's happening around the work table at the moment...a bit messy and not too sure of what's happening next. All I know is that I got to get the old rear end into gear very soon for impending markets.
How good is this Autumn weather? So nice. It's the last harrah! for the sun.
Wish I could muster the rant I had this morning to my Ma, but the day has diluted the moment, and left me weak.
All I can say is, kids, and us parents are under too many time constraints.

Well the trip to the Gardens proved to be very fun,but there were loads of mozzies. Me and the wee girls hung out with the old Ginko tree. And here are the results.

Here is a little preview of of my new girls, I think they will come in packs of five and I will try and retail them for about $45...they're gonna be sooo pretty hanging about your house!!

I'm off to the gardens today with the kids to take some photos of these lovelies...please mozzies, stay away.
Yesterday I went to Tafta, over at Geelong Grammer...interesting. You know, not every plain white piece of silk needs to be dyed or felted, I'm just saying. Also, ladies of the 3d crochet room, steady on with the patchouli oil. It's like citronella to a mozzie as far as I'm concerned. BUT, what a great place to find unique materials and contacts, very nice to see that lovely boy from the Artisan bookshop too.

The day started quite well, and I was very pleased to have sold 3 scarves before the market even opened. Then progressively the day slowed down, too much sunshine to be bothered to come inside to a market. But, an interesting experience, people wise...Plus, very nice to meet some folk that I have only chatted to via email. I am inspired to keep going with this market thing though, and I'll keep you posted as events come up.

Our first attempt of Macarons

Well, They look a bit better than they taste...mmm actually they taste pretty good too. But, they're not quite right. The biscuits are a bit soggy, which leads me to believe the oven isn't hot enough. However, the raspberry cream is deluxe! Plus , the recipe has made so much raspberry cream i don't know what where going to do with it all.

I had a birthday and got some fantastic things. One of which is a beautiful book call 'Paris made by hand'...what a treat! And another called 'Prints Charming'.
French Touche is found in Paris made by hand. there are some cute things, also Atelier Beau Travail. A lot of the other links are kind of hard to get up on the computer...maybe it's because they're from France? Could that be?I also got some very excellent boots from my P...Yay.
Also, very pleased about getting my brooches into the Geelong Gallery shop.

I'm going to embark on this new project...I strongly suggest that anyone who visits this blog who can make things should have a look at this site. It's called craft hope, and I have a link on the side bar.

Making pommegranite sorbet with the new ice-cream machine, mmm.

Finding some very exciting French silk flower making tools...iron cutting tools that are in the shape of liitle flowers and leaves, a little blunt, but will still try them out on something. If that doesn't work, I'll sharpen them up with the dremmel.

Today was a hot day for my elsbeth to start kinder.

Not

Seeing tug-o-war over Elsbeth's pretend cakes she made at kinder, and having someone elses little tikes saying, "They're not cakes, that's play do!!". Well little dude, Elsbeth says they're cakes, back off! I say in my head, while trying not to cry, and trying not to be a total kinder/stage mother...

Having a sick little boy with a mysterious tummy bug, cleaning up throw-up and disgusting nappies.

Elsbeth acting like a different person for the last couple days...probably because Charles isn't well

The, um, french flower tools being a tiny bit expensive.....

hot/not

 I found a very fantastic IGA in Bell Park, Geelong. Which doesn't seem very exciting, but it is. The food they've got in there rivals that of Peidemontes in North Fitzroy. Which is great to find here, as here is VERY 'white bread'...or if it's imported, it has to be very expensive. This food is cheap! and it's next door to a very good butcher (Siketa)... which is next to a very good green grocer. The fruit and vege are so fresh it would not surprise me if they weren't picked out of a Nonna's garden just down the road. So I think that's pretty hot.

Makers Market is happening on Sunday, that's making me a bit hot and bothered getting ready for it, but I'm pretty happy with my collection of bits an pieces...look here to see.

Having this sickness come into the house the day I agree to being in this Makers Market, at the last minute.

In my travels today...coffee, walking, newspaper for P, Frankie magazine for me, playing in the park....I spy this. I realise that there are no new ideas, and of course I love this site, but I did want to feel a bit unique in this new avenue I'm on. Never mind...I will not be deterred. I'm approaching a likely store in Queenscliffe next week.
